You will probably be aware of the Government’s announcement that we have been moved to COVID 19 alert Level 3 (in Auckland) and Level 2 in other parts of NZ effective as at 12 noon, Wednesday, 12 August 2020 until midnight, Friday, 14 August 2020.

Dear Client,

I trust you are keeping strong and well, even though I understand your business is probably experiencing a lot of disruption from the global outbreak of COVID-19. The progress in NZ that we have moved to Level 2 means that hopefully, things will slowly start returning to normal over the next few months. In the last few weeks there were over 400,000 people returned to work, that’s certainly a good sign.

We’ve heard a little moral and financial support can go a long way, so we’re reviewing our service terms to provide sustainable and affordable services and hopefully add value to your future business plan that might be a bit different to what you have made in an earlier time. It is a thought-provoking moment when businesses are required to operate in a different way and we like to extend our strategic talent management and development plan (TMD Strategy) to help you attract, develop and retain your most valuable asset (your people) in every possible way so your human capital remains strong that helps your business productivity and stability return quicker.

For many small and medium size business owners, recruitment might be the last thing on your mind right now. It is probably a good time to look at what you can retain and develop your existing people to help maximizing the capital value and minimizing the cost of change, taking the opportunity to open for new operation structure or implementing different business strategies. Some questions might pay to have your attention sooner: When was the last time you gave a job promotion to your employee? Who is(are) “the one” (or more) employee(s) that you and your customers cannot afford losing? Did you provide proper training to people who is still relatively new to the company and their roles? What would you plan to do to all your employees in the next 90 days time?
